Marc Jacobs Fashion Week Collection
02:00
Marc Jacobs launched
his fabulous Spring/Summer 13 collection at New York fashion week and amazed us
once again with his innovating designs.
With a touch of the
monochrome trend, Marc has in twined vertical stripes and structured
shapes to create a bold and strong collection. He brought character to the show
by mixing black and white panelled pieces with neutral warm colours, along with
elements of deep reds and soft browns, which brought variety to his fantastic
pieces.

The show consisted of low
rise pleated skirts, pencil skirts, long sleeved maxi dresses and detailed
cropped blouses, which all added to the individuality of each look. Marc
Jacobs, who also designs for Louis Vuitton, presented 36 breath taking
looks, the models strutted out in kittened heels and 60's inspired beehive hairstyles
brushed to the side into ponytails.
The unique floor plan was
creative and exciting as the models walked on what could be described as a stage
rather than the foreseeable narrow catwalk. At the end of the 5 minutes show
they formed together into a triangular shape, all of the shapes and colours
together created a hypnosis feel and brought the collection alive, it was
picture perfect.
Marc’s enduring talent is
always so exciting to watch, we will continue to bite our nails as we wait for his
next bag of tricks.
The Kardashians have always been my guilty pleasure and this is a clear example of why. Kourtney has put together a BCBG suit and looks fantastic in it too! this casual chic look has seriously won me over, so during my hunting journey, I came across River Island, although its not exactly the same I can totally picture this look working in the Spring. It can be worn with a simple white vest slouched over the skirt and some statement accessories to bring the combination alive.
Kourtney wears a Marc Jacobs dress with blue heels, hmm, what do we think? HOT or NOT?
Myley Cyris rocks one of Marc Jacob's signature pieces, a low rise striped skirt. with her new profound look, Myley has given this outfit it's own edgy personality and has paired it with a cropped sweatshirt.
I love the individuality, however it would have been great to see the skirt paired with more classic and sophisticated blouse just to give the skirt the justice it deserves.
What do you guys think, are you loving the idea, or is it a look gone wrong? HOT or NOT?
Top: £14.00 River Island, Skirt: £32.00 Topshop, Heels £29.99 Missguided.com, Lipstick Rimmel £4.00 Earrings £48 Melody Ehsani
Now this is a look I am dying to create, so I've given you all the heads up and but together a great outfit idea.
inspired by Myley's Marc Jacob's dress, I've pieced together a 'die for' outfit which is so simple to create. I think this season is the best time to experiment with stripes and shapes. There is such a range of skirts, blouses, trousers and dresses that you can play about with.
